Mica from the
seam to specification
Open-pit extraction, beneficiation, and precision milling of muscovite, phlogopite, and sericite — certified to the grades your process demands.
Open-pit extraction
engineered to seam
Seam operates three active open-pit mines across the Rajasthan pegmatite belt, accessing high-grade muscovite and phlogopite deposits proven to 120 metres depth. Our drill-and-blast programme is calibrated to minimize crystal fracture — preserving the large-flake integrity that premium grades demand.
GPS-guided shovel positioning ensures selective mining at grade boundaries. Every ROM (run-of-mine) stockpile is sampled at 200-tonne intervals and logged against the deposit's 3D block model before moving to beneficiation.

Beneficiation
without compromise
Our wet-process beneficiation circuit was engineered specifically for large-flake muscovite preservation. Each stage is monitored by in-line particle counters — grade separation is verified before advancing to the next unit operation.
Primary Crushing
Jaw crusher reduces ROM ore to <50mm fragments; oversized material returned via closed-circuit.
Wet Scrubbing
Rotary scrubbers remove clay and fine silica contamination at 65% solids density.
Hydraulic Classification
Rising-current classifiers separate mica flakes by hydraulic settling velocity — isolating +100 mesh, +200 mesh, and -200 mesh fractions.
Froth Flotation
Selective flotation using amine collectors removes feldspar and quartz gangue, lifting mica recovery above 94%.
Dewatering & Drying
Vacuum belt filters followed by rotary dryers at 110°C reduce moisture to <0.5% — specification for electronics-grade product.
Particle-size
distribution control
Closed-circuit air classification and precision roller milling deliver tight PSD curves. Every production batch is verified by laser diffraction (Malvern Mastersizer 3000) before release.

Quality Assurance Protocol
Each production lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) covering: moisture content, loss on ignition, SiO₂/Al₂O₃/K₂O assay, particle size (D10/D50/D90), brightness (ISO 2470), and heavy metals panel to EU cosmetics regulation limits.
